The Connecticut Lottery is giving players a chance to get their hands on big prizes with the comeback of the popular 2nd Chance program. What’s more, you can now play it with the dedicated mobile app to enhance your playing experience.

Brett Steen, Senior Director of Marketing at the Connecticut Lottery said:

“We are thrilled to be bringing back 2nd Chance promotions. The addition of the mobile app will change the way players engage with our games, making it easier than ever before for players to turn specific non-winning scratch tickets into winning opportunities.”

The 2nd Chance program now has its own dedicated app that allows players to set up an account and automatically enter their tickets with one click. The new app is now available to iPhone and Android users. You can get your first chance at 2nd Chance by submitting non-winning Electric 8s instant-win tickets to the drawing for a chance to win a top prize of $1,888 along with other cash prizes.

How to play Electric 8s

Electric 8s second chance is a $1 instant-win game with a top prize of $1,888. To play, remove the six lightning bolt symbols from the play area. If you match three prize amounts, you win that prize. If you reveal one or more 8 symbols in the play area, you win the corresponding prize in the prize legend. The prize range for this game is $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $28, $188, and $1,888.

If you like to play scratch-off games, you have plenty to choose from with the Connecticut Lottery. There are more than 50 instant-win games to choose from. They cost between $1 and $50 and have top prizes up to $4 million. Some of the favorites include:

The Connecticut towns that have had the most winners from 1990 to 2023 are Stamford, Bridgeport, Waterbury, and Hartford.
