The Virginia Lottery has extended its collaboration with NeoPollard Interactive (NPi) through 2028, raising the standard for online gaming excellence even further. This collaboration has already produced ground-breaking achievements, such as the historic debut of Virginia's entire iLottery program in 2020, and it doesn't appear to be slowing down.

Through a state-of-the-art digital platform, industry-leading technologies, and a mutual dedication to expansion, the collaboration has established the Virginia Lottery as a leader in the online lottery space. This reaffirmed partnership promises many more accomplishments in the future, from breaking sales records to assisting Virginia's K–12 public schools.

Virginia Lottery renews contract

The Virginia Lottery and NeoPollard Interactive LLC recently announced a renewal of their iLottery services contract. On October 31, 2016, NPi and the Virginia Lottery entered into their initial deal.

NPi will continue to offer the Virginia Lottery iLottery services through October 30, 2028, as a result of this renewal. During that period, there is also the opportunity to renew for a further three years.

The partnership brings remarkable success

NPi partnered with the Virginia Lottery in 2016 to offer them an improved online subscription service. Players would gain access to draw-based games using Aristocrat Interactive's iLottery solution.

The collaboration between NPi and the Virginia Lottery has developed into a cutting-edge online lottery platform since that original contract. Through NeoGames Studio, NPi deployed the iLottery technological solutions from the Artistocrat family, which include a portfolio of eInstant games and a customer interaction solution.

Over the years, this collaboration has produced some incredible outcomes. In 2020, the Virginia Lottery introduced its entire iLottery program. Following that launch, they were the highest-grossing first-year program in North America, setting a new industry record.

The second year saw a 69% increase in gross wagers, so things only got better from there. In 2022, the Virginia Lottery won Lottery Operator of the Year at the eGaming Review Operator Awards as a result.

The Virginia Lottery achieved yet another significant milestone in 2023 when it became the first lottery in the US to run Aristocrat Interactive's fully cloud-based iLottery solution, which comprises the system and platform.

Impressive iLottery sales also

In addition to having an award-winning platform, the Virginia Lottery was experiencing very impressive sales numbers. The Virginia Lottery's iLottery program continues to enjoy the highest gross sales and the highest gross per capita sales of any state lottery in the United States as of the most recent quarter (Q3 2024).

This should only continue with the contract renewal with NPi.

Khalid Reede Jones, Executive Director of the Virginia Lottery, said:

We are pleased to continue our partnership with NeoPollard Interactive, and excited about the future of iLottery in the Commonwealth. We're confident that our renewed partnership will help us continue to provide exceptional player experiences, responsibly grow our business, and contribute to our important mission of raising revenue for Virginia's K-12 public schools.

Enjoy playing the Virginia Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
