Some lottery players swear by birthdays, while others chase lucky numbers — but this week, it was all about the thrill of number sequences. From New York to Missouri and South Carolina, lottery draws delivered eye-catching patterns that had players cashing in big.

Whether it was 2-3-4, 5-6-7-8, or an almost-quad win, these draws racked up almost $4 million in prizes. With so many lucky winners scoring payouts, it seems betting on a streak was the way to go!

New York has a double big win

It was a big week for New York Lottery players, as they saw two number sequences come up in their Numbers and Win 4 draw games. These big wins combined to hand out over $2 million in prizes to the lucky winners.

Up first was the Numbers win, which took place during the midday drawing on February 26. For that draw, the winning combination was 2-3-4. Lottery players love it when these numbered sequences come up, as they tend to bet on them a lot.

That was the case here, as there were 5,420 winning tickets sold for that draw. Lottery officials said they paid out $761,335 to these lucky winners.

The numbered sequences continued in New York on February 27, but this time for the Win 4 draw game. The winning combination for yesterday's midday drawing was 5-6-7-8.

Again, lottery players love these sequences, and it showed again with this winning combo. While there were not as many winning tickets sold — 1,614 compared to the 5,420 above — the payout for these winners was almost twice as much. The 5-6-7-8- winning combination paid out $1.35 million in total prizes to the lucky winners.

Missouri piggybacks off New York win

On February 26, Missouri Lottery picked up where the New York Lottery stopped. The winning combination for the evening draw of their Pick 3 game came in at 4-5-6.

Of course, Missouri is a smaller state than New York, but they still had some players cash in on this winning combination.

For that drawing, there were 935 winning tickets sold. Those tickets paid out $135,155 to the lucky winners.

Almost a Quad 4 win in South Carolina

For lottery players, you know that betting on Quad 4 wins is a big deal. Many people will frequently play these quad numbers in hopes of the winning combination coming in all the same number.

Well, it almost happened in South Carolina on February 26 with their evening Pick 4 drawing. The winning combination for that drawing was 1-2-2-2 with a Fireball of 5.

For this drawing, there were 1,282 winners, including Fireball winners. In total, lottery officials said they paid out over $1.7 million in total prizes to these lucky winners.

It may not have been a Quad 4 win, but it still did pay out a pretty penny to these lucky players.

Enjoy playing the lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
