New Mexico Lottery cookbook competition

Submit your recipe to the New Mexico Lottery cookbook competition for a chance to win $1,000.

The Land of Enchantment Lottery has launched a cookbook contest that gives New Mexican entrants an opportunity to win $1,000. The competition has been designed ready for a 2024 instant win game that will feature a celebrity chef. Anyone over the age of 18 can enter. Winning entries will win a prize and be featured in the Lottery Favorites Cookbook.

Three top entrants will win a $1,000 prize, and up to sixty entrants will receive prizes of $50 worth of lottery bucks and a lucky Lottery apron. Each of the winning recipes will be published in the Lottery Favorites Cookbook, which will be available to everyone as a free e-book.

Your favorite recipe

You can enter your favorite recipe, whether handed down from your great-great-grandmother or you concocted it today. The recipe categories include:

  • Appetizers
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Sides
  • Desserts

On the entry form, you will be asked to describe what makes your recipe unique, list your ingredients, preparation instructions, and the number of servings the recipe provides. You also have the option of uploading up to three tantalizing photos of your dish. 

Rules of the cookbook competition

  • The recipe must be unique and created by you. 
  • It should not infringe on or violate any copyrights.
  • It should not have been published anywhere else. 
  • You must own all complete worldwide rights to the recipe.

The deadline for recipe entries is January 3, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. MT.

Enter your serial number on the New Mexico Lottery website to see if you’ve won. The prize drawing will be conducted on December 6, 2023, and fifteen entrants will win $2,000.

About the New Mexico Lottery

The New Mexico Lottery was launched in April 1996, when it became the United States 38th Lottery. Around 30% of lottery revenue is contributed to college scholarships throughout the state. Since its launch, the New Mexico Lottery has raised more than $1 billion for education, and more than 144,000 students have attended college on Legislative Lottery Scholarships.
