Maryland lottery players can start playing a new game starting on Monday, May 6, 2024.

Cash Pop is the latest addition to the Maryland Lottery's collection of draw games. You can play Cash Pop with a wager of $1, $2, $5, or $10 per number you play, per draw. You can play from 1 to 15 numbers, or POPs, as they are called, and all you have to do to win is match one number drawn between 1 and 15. Depending on your wager amount, you could win cash prizes ranging from $250 to $2,500.

How to play Cash Pop

To play, choose the amount you wish to wager. Then, select how many numbers or POPs from 1 to 15 you want to play. It's that easy. The prize amount you can win for each POP played is chosen by the lottery terminal and is printed on your ticket in the circle below your chosen number. Cash Pop will be drawn four times each day at 9 a.m., 1 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. Eastern Time.

Maryland Lottery Second Chance promotions

The Old Line State Lottery is running Second Chance promotions to win cash prizes and entries to drawings:

  • Pac-Man promotion: Enter your non-winning Pac-Man instant-win tickets for a chance to win $2,500 or a Pac-Man home arcade machine. The drawing date for the cash prize is May 6, 2024. The drawing date for the Pac-Man arcade machine is May 27, 2024.
  • X the Cash promotion: Enter any non-winning ticket from the six scratch-off games in the X the Cash family for a chance to win cash prizes. Three drawings remain. You can win $50,000 in the drawings on May 6 and June 10 and $75,000 in the drawing on July 15.

Home Run Riches Bases Loaded

You could be the Contestant of the Game and have a chance to win $5,000 if the Baltimore Orioles hit a grand slam. Each selected Contestant of the Game will receive $500 for being chosen, $500 for each home run of the game, and $5,000 for each Orioles grand slam. To participate, enter your winning and non-winning Fast Play Home Run Riches Bases Loaded tickets to receive entries to the Second Chance drawing. This promotion is running until August 26, 2024.

Points for Prizes

Points for Prizes is a rewards program in which you can earn points by entering your eligible non-winning scratch-off tickets and winning or non-winning lottery draw tickets at the Maryland Lottery website. Once you have accumulated enough points, you can redeem them at the online Points for Prizes store. There are hundreds of items to choose from in several categories, including electronics, kitchenware, beauty and personal care, sports and outdoors, household goods, and automotive. You can also exchange your points for gift cards to spend where you shop.

How the lottery helps Maryland

Since its launch in 1973, the Maryland Lottery has contributed more than $18.6 billion in revenue to support causes throughout the state, including public health, education, the environment, and public safety. Maryland lottery players have won more than $31.5 billion in prizes.
