As the Jumbo Bucks Lotto jackpot continues to grow and grow, what happens if no one wins the jackpot before the draw game closes for good tonight, Thursday, November 14, 2024?

The end of an era in Georgia

Back in August, Georgia Lottery officials announced the final drawing for the Jumbo Lotto Bucks game would take place on November 14. Ticket sales for the draw game will stop at 10:45 p.m. ET on that same day.

Jumbo Bucks Lotto was Georgia’s own draw game, which launched in 2015. The game offered players a chance to win big money with a $1 bet. Drawings for Jumbo Bucks Lotto take place every Monday and Thursday night at 11:00 p.m. ET.

The Jumbo Bucks Lotto jackpot started at $1 million and continued to climb until a lucky winner matched all six of the winning numbers drawn.

Current Jumbo Bucks Lotto jackpot run

The final Jumbo Bucks Lotto drawing will be held tonight and the estimated jackpot is at $12.9 million. The odds of matching all six numbers and winning the jackpot are 1 in 10.74 million.

That is quite a ways away from the starting jackpot of $1 million, as we have not had a jackpot winner in this draw game since Thursday, September 21, 2023! Yes, there has not been a jackpot winner in over a year.

For the September 21, 2023, drawing, the winning numbers were 1, 3, 11, 14, 27, and 39, and one lucky ticket matched all six of the numbers to win the $3 million jackpot that night.

With that in mind, the current jackpot streak is at 113 drawings without a jackpot winner! The hype, alone, should get players excited to play this game. However, a lack of jackpot winners could be why the state is shutting down the game.

What happens if no one wins the jackpot before the game closes?

So, as the draw game comes to a close tonight, many players may be wondering what would happen to the jackpot if no ticket matches all six of the winning numbers to claim the top prize tonight.

According to Georgia Lottery officials, if there is no jackpot winner for tonight’s final drawing, all of the Jumbo Bucks secondary prizes for the November 14, 2024, drawing will be increased to 5X.

That means any players matching five of the six numbers would win $2,500. Players matching four of the six winning numbers would win $250 and players matching three of the six winning numbers would win $25 to end the draw game with a bang!

If you happen to have a winning ticket for this draw game, lottery officials are letting you know you have 180 days from the drawing date to claim your prize. Even though the game is ending tonight, winners would still have 180 days to claim their prize.

Enjoy playing the Georgia Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
