A big yeehaw is going out to one lucky Wyoming Lottery player today, as one player is holding onto a winning ticket worth $1.42 million from last night's Cowboy Draw game!

The jackpot-winning ticket

The winning ticket was for the Monday, July 8 drawing of Cowboy Draw. The winning numbers for that draw were 6, 15, 25, 33, and 44.

The jackpot-winning ticket, which was purchased at AJ's Discount Liquor, located at 295 Washington St. in Afton, matched all five of the winning numbers to win the game's jackpot, which reached $1.42 million.

Check those tickets!

Wyoming Lottery officials are urging Cowboy Draw players to check their tickets. If you believe you have the winning ticket, you should call 855.995.6886 and make sure to sign your ticket.

Jon Clontz, WyoLotto CEO, said:

We are excited to meet our newest jackpot winner. Since we launched Cowboy Draw, Wyoming's own game, in March of 2015, we have had 41 jackpot winners — which is pretty amazing.

Cowboy Draw - how does it work?

Cowboy Draw is a draw game specifically for Wyoming Lottery players only. The drawings take place every Monday and Thursday at 2:00 p.m. MT.

To play, you need to pick five numbers from 1 to 45, or you can choose the Quick Pick option and let the computer generate the numbers for you. Cowboy Draw costs $5 per play and includes two plays, so make sure to fill out at least two panels on your playslip when purchasing.

The Cowboy Draw jackpot starts out at $250,000 and grows until someone wins it. Since the game started in 2015, this current jackpot winner is the 41st person to win the jackpot prize. If multiple people win the jackpot in one draw, the prize will be split between them.

For Cowboy Draw, there are four prize categories available. Players can win $5 for matching two numbers, $20 for matching three numbers, $1,000 for matching four numbers, and the lucky player wins the jackpot when matching all five numbers.

For every two plays, the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 610,879. The overall odds of winning a prize in Cowboy Draw are 1 in 6.

If you are lucky enough to win the jackpot, it will be paid out in one lump sum payment. There is no annuity option available for the Cowboy Draw jackpot.
