Colorado Lottery players, your ticket to convenience has arrived. For the first time, you can skip the lines and buy your favorite lottery tickets right from your phone or computer, thanks to a new partnership with Jackpot.com.

Get your lottery tickets right at home

Jackpot.com recently announced that it has launched in Colorado. This launch allows players in Colorado to order and play official state lottery tickets and digital scratchers right from their mobile phones and other devices.

This new platform will allow players in the state to instantly buy tickets for nationwide games, such as Powerball and Mega Millions, as well as Colorado Lottery games, like Colorado Lotto+ and Cash 5.

To kick things off, Jackpot.com will be launching five of the state's most popular scratch-off tickets, including $3,000,000 Supreme, Casino Ca$h Chips, and $250,000 ORO.

Akshay Khanna, founder and CEO of Jackpot.com, said:

At Jackpot.com, we could not be more excited to add Colorado as our seventh state. Last year, the Colorado Lottery reached $4 billion in proceeds and they give back millions of dollars each year to state parks, schools, and various projects.

How does it work?

So, you might be wondering how this new platform works. Players will need to download the Jackpot.com lottery app or visit the Jackpot.com website to learn more.

Once you have created an account with Jackpot.com, you will purchase your Colorado Lottery tickets directly on their app or website. Behind the scenes, the platform will purchase the tickets from the original state lottery retailer on behalf of its customers.

The platform will display a scan of your ticket and will transfer any winnings under $600 in real-time to your account. If you are lucky enough to win a prize greater than $600, then Jackpot.com securely delivers the ticket to the winning player so they can then collect the winnings directly from the Colorado Lottery.

Where are the tickets purchased from?

As stated above, Jackpot.com purchases Colorado Lottery tickets from an original state lottery retailer, but which one?

According to Meghan Dougherty, communications manager for the Colorado Lottery:

Courier services allow lottery players to order lottery tickets via a mobile app. The courier buys a ticket from a licensed Lottery retailer and then 'couriers' a digital image of the ticket (or the actual ticket in some cases via the mail). Jackpot.com is a courier that is purchasing tickets from Lucky Choice, located at 10021 E Iliff in Aurora.

A reduction in unclaimed lottery winnings?

With the introduction of Jackpot.com to Colorado Lottery players, officials are hoping to reduce the number of unclaimed lottery tickets each year.

“There are billions of dollars of winnings that have gone unclaimed,” Khanna said.

By using this mobile app, any winners will automatically receive their winnings in their account, or the ticket will be mailed to them to claim their winnings. This will help eliminate the chance of missing a prize because you forgot to check your ticket.

Ethical gaming practices

While an online platform allows for easy access to lottery tickets, Jackpot.com's platform does work to provide players with ethical gaming practices.

Not only is the platform ensuring that players on the app are 18 or older, but it also includes the option for players to add daily deposit limits and daily purchase limits.

This mobile platform is shaking up the lottery game in Colorado — and making it easier than ever to turn dreams into reality. Enjoy playing the Colorado Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
