Many people can feel like Wednesdays drag along. It's the middle of the week, and that hump you need to get over before heading to the weekend!

That's not the case for one lucky Ohio Lottery player. They happened to hit it big in the Powerball drawing on April 23, taking home a $200,000 prize.

The winning ticket

The winning ticket was for the April 23 draw. The winning white ball numbers for that draw were 2, 20, 22, 26, and 47, and the Powerball number was 21 with a Power Play of 4X.

The winning ticket holder matched four out of the five white ball numbers plus the Powerball number. They also happened to purchase the Power Play for an additional $1, so the standard $50,000 prize was multiplied by four to get to that $200,000 prize!

The odds of matching four of five numbers plus the Powerball number are 1 in 913,129. The winning ticket holder has 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Lost Nation Convenient Store, located at 38513 Lake Shore Boulevard in Willoughby.

Another big Ohio Lottery winner

Besides the $200,000 Powerball winner, the Ohio Lottery has another big winner to celebrate recently. Lottery officials announced that a woman from Stow won $150,000 playing the scratch-off Lady Luck 50X.

The winning ticket was purchased at Marc's #36, located at 3732 Darrow Rd. in Stow.

It wasn't just a trip to the store for the lucky lady who stopped by Marc's for some rice. She told lottery officials she noticed the self-serve kiosk at the front of the store, so she decided to buy a $10 ticket and the rest is history!

She said she almost passed out when she kept scratching off winning numbers. She plans on sharing the winnings with her family, which works out to be $108,000 after state and federal taxes are taken out.

Lady Luck 50X is a $10 scratch-off ticket from the Ohio Lottery. The top prize is $500,000, and as of April 24, there are three top prizes remaining in the game.

Ohio Lottery - funding and supporting education

For the Ohio Lottery, 100% of the profits go to help support K-12, vocational, and special education programs in the state. Since lotto sales began in 1974, the Ohio Lottery has provided more than $31 billion to the education programs in Ohio!

The Ohio Lottery also offers the Partners in Education program, which recognizes the exceptional efforts of K-12 students, teachers, and schools across the state. To celebrate excellence in Ohio's schools, you can nominate deserving students, teachers, and schools.

For winning, students receive a $100 gift card, prize pack, and certificate of excellence. Teachers receive a $500 gift card, prize pack, and certificate of excellence, and schools receive a $2,500 gift card, prize pack, and certificate of excellence.

Enjoy playing the Ohio Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
