A Lansing man may be 92 years old, but that isn't stopping him from chasing — and winning — those lottery jackpots!

“I'm going after that jackpot!”

The 92-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, decided that he was going to go after the Fast Cash jackpot from the Michigan Lottery after he noticed it was on the rise.

The player told Lottery officials:

I had my eye on the Fast Cash game after seeing the jackpot was on the rise. I stepped into a store and said: “I'm going after that jackpot!” I bought two tickets and didn't win, so I stepped into a different store later that day and purchased two more tickets.

Those tickets were the winners he was searching for. Not only did the lucky man win $50 on one of the tickets, but he also matched one of his numbers with 'Jackpot' underneath. He said:

I know what I was seeing, but I scanned the ticket to be sure. When a message came up to file a claim at the Lottery office, I knew that I'd really won the jackpot!

Claiming his prize

To claim such a prize, you must head to the Michigan Lottery headquarters, which is exactly what he did!

The lucky player, who bought his winning Lucky 7s Fast Cash ticket on June 25 at the Sunoco gas station, located at 645 Migaldi Lane in Lansing, ended up winning the progressive jackpot, which was at $434,105 at the time.

Now that he has claimed his winnings, the man said he plans on sharing his winnings with his family.

Fast Cash games from the Michigan Lottery

For the Fast Cash games, they are a series of instant-win games that print from terminals at Lottery retailers. They range in price from $2 per play up to $20 per play. They offer a progressive jackpot that can be won instantly. Each ticket gives the Fast Cash player a chance to win all or part of the progressive jackpot.

The Fast Cash games, which the Michigan Lottery currently offers 12 different games, all feed into the same jackpot. With every ticket purchased, the jackpot grows. When the ticket is printed, it will show the current jackpot amount. This allows players to always know how much money is up for grabs.

The jackpot can be won at any time and as soon as it does hit, a new one immediately starts to grow. Fast Cash prizes never sell out and players don't have to wait for a drawing to be held, as all games are immediately played.

The prizes for the Fast Cash games range from $2 up to a chance at winning 100 percent of the Fast Cash progressive jackpot plus $250,000, depending on which game you play.

Players can purchase any of the 12 Fast Cash games from the Michigan Lottery at any of the 10,500 retailers across the state.

Enjoy playing the Michigan Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
