Are you holding onto the jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket from the Pennsylvania Lottery this weekend?

The jackpot-winning ticket

The winning ticket matched all five balls drawn for the Saturday, June 29 drawing of Cash 5 with Quick Cash from the Pennsylvania Lottery. Those winning numbers for that drawing were 3, 6, 10, 21, and 40. After matching all five numbers, the winning ticket holder will receive $400,000 less withholding.

The winning ticket was purchased at GIANT Food Stores, located at 450 East Main St. in Middletown. For selling the winning ticket, GIANT Food Stores will receive a $500 bonus from the Pennsylvania Lottery.

In addition to the jackpot-winning ticket being sold, state lottery officials said there were more than 13,700 other Cash 5 with Quick Cash tickets winning prizes from the June 29 drawing.

Claiming the winning ticket

Are you holding onto that winning ticket? If so, you have one year from the date of the drawing to claim your prize. Of course, winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed, and the Pennsylvania Lottery validates the ticket.

If you happen to have won on the Quick Cash portion of the game, then those prizes must be claimed within one year of the purchase date. If you are holding a jackpot-winning Cash 5 with Quick Cash ticket, Lottery officials say you should contact the nearest claim center for further instructions or call 1-800-692-7481.

How to play Cash 5 with Quick Cash

Cash 5 with Quick Cash is a daily draw game in Pennsylvania with drawings taking place at 6:59 p.m. ET.

If you are interested in playing, you need to select five numbers between 1 and 43. If you want to leave it up to the computer to generate the numbers for you, just choose the Quick Pick option. Each play will cost you $2.

Quick Cash is an instant win game that prints on every Cash 5 ticket and is separate from the main Cash 5 game. Players will receive a Quick Cash play printed separately on a ticket, and it gives players the opportunity to win $2 or $6.

To win on Cash 5, you have four prize categories available. The lowest prize available is $2, which is for matching two numbers. Players win the jackpot when matching all five numbers as the lucky player did above. The jackpot happens to be 44% of the prize pool money, with the minimum value for the jackpot being $150,000.

For those interested in the odds of a game, the odds of winning any prize in the main Cash 5 game are about 1 in 10.5, and the odds of winning the Cash 5 jackpot are 1 in 962,598.

When did the Pennsylvania Lottery start selling tickets?

The Pennsylvania Lottery was established on August 26, 1971. However, tickets didn't go on sale until March 7, 1972.

For that first ticket, the Lottery sold a 50-cent scratcher ticket which featured weekly drawings and a grand prize of $1 million.

Enjoy playing the Pennsylvania Lottery, and please remember to play responsibly.
