In Samantha's own words...
What I like about working for Lottery USA:
What I enjoy about working at Lottery USA is the opportunity to learn about this industry. It's rewarding to see the positive impact the lottery has on people's lives. Seeing winners' stories and the transformative changes they experience is genuinely heartwarming.
What most excites and intrigues you about the lottery?
I'm drawn to the dynamic nature of the lottery industry within the U.S, it's a reflection of the economic landscape. I like analyzing how economic shifts, from consumer spending trends to state revenue strategies, impact the lottery.
Best run US state lottery?
I'd have to say Massachusetts. I wrote a piece about how the state is the lottery capital of the U.S. People there spend over a thousand dollars a year on tickets! That's wild! They've clearly figured out something pretty special up in New England.
What is your most memorable lottery moment?
Without a doubt, any time a jackpot hits that billion-dollar mark. It's just pure excitement. The anticipation is incredible. And then, the curiosity kicks in – who won? What are they going to do? If they're not anonymous, watching the aftermath of such a life-changing event is fascinating.
What would you do if you won the Powerball jackpot?
If I hit the Powerball, my sensible side would kick in, and I'd save most of it. But then, the fun would start! College funds for the kids, and I'd probably go a little overboard with adopting dogs. I'd love to support my favorite causes, too. And, you know, a celebratory vacation is non-negotiable.
Can you share an interesting fact about yourself?
This one's easy. I was accidentally born at home in Atlanta, Georgia.
